1. Local-First Architecture

Nodlyn is a desktop application that runs on your machine. Your workflows, credentials, device configurations, and execution data are stored locally in a SQLite database within your user profile folder. No data is transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly configure an integration that requires it (for example sending an email, calling an API, or connecting to an IoT cloud service), or you use Cloud features after signing in.

2. Desktop App: No Telemetry

The Nodlyn desktop application does not collect usage data, crash reports, or product analytics. There are no tracking pixels and no phone-home mechanisms in the product itself. After installation it can run offline unless you configure a connector or Cloud feature that needs the network.

3. Encrypted Credential Storage

API keys, passwords, and tokens used in your workflows are stored in an AES-256 encrypted vault on disk. Credentials are decrypted only in memory during workflow execution and are never displayed in plain text in the UI.

4. Nodlyn Cloud

A free account is used with Desktop Studio and Nodlyn Cloud so you can monitor runtime activity. When Cloud monitoring is enabled, the following data may be transmitted to our servers:

Instance name and unique identifier

Heartbeat signals (online/offline status)

Your email address (for account creation)

Activity signals needed to show runs, logs, and agent status in Cloud

Workflow definitions and vault credentials are not uploaded as a substitute for local storage. Cloud communication is encrypted via TLS.

5. Contact Form & Email

When you use the contact form on this website, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry. This data is sent via email and is not stored in a marketing CRM. We do not use your contact information for marketing campaigns.

6. Cookies & Website Analytics

This website uses essential cookies required for authentication on the Cloud dashboard. We also use Google Analytics (gtag.js) on nodlyn.com marketing pages (home, blog, wiki, docs) to understand aggregate traffic — for example page views and approximate geography. Analytics cookies or similar storage may be set by Google. We do not use advertising networks or remarketing pixels beyond this measurement. IP anonymization is enabled in our Analytics configuration.

7. Third-Party Services

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts and may load Google Analytics as described above. The Nodlyn desktop application does not communicate with Google Analytics or other third-party analytics services unless you configure a connector that does so.

8. Data Deletion

Local Nodlyn data lives on your machine — you control it. Uninstalling Nodlyn removes the application. To delete all local data, remove the Nodlyn folder from your user profile directory. For Cloud accounts, use the contact form to request account deletion.

9. Contact

For privacy-related questions or data deletion requests, use the contact form.
